How to import a Tuono created certificate as ReadOnly on AWS

This knowledge base article guides you on importing a Tuono created certificate as read only

Overview

Tuono has the ability to import a user certificate to your cloud provider. This imported certificate will be treated as a Tuono created object and if you wish to reuse it the Tuono tags must be removed.

With Tuono Read Only on AWS we attempt to locate the resource by matching the type and name, and explicitly ignore any resource that was previously created by Tuono.

Error message

When attempting to import a certificate with that was created with Tuono readonly: true you will receive the following error:

Apply ath east in aws :: end :: failure 
error in security.certificate.import-cert-id 
No certificate found for domain name `certificate_name`. 
Ensure the `name` property is set correctly.

Resolution

1. Select the certificate from the AWS certificate manager

2. Select manage tags

3. Remove all Tuono created Tags
